October 2010, Perama, Greece the port city to the west of Pireaus, once the heart of Greece's shipbuilding industry now on the verge of sinking deep into irreversible recession. It seems deserted. I'm free to wander around the dry dock, I turn my lens to those once-proud ships, I contemplate those textures reminiscent of Antoni Tapies... And that promise of further decay as Greece spirals into crisis...
