On the banks of Lucknow's river Gomti, the dhobi wallahs, (washermen) wash & prepare the traditional Lucknow "Chikan" embroidered garments together with an array of other rainbow-coloured fabrics. Thanks to Prateek Hira & Pankaj for giving me this great photographic opportunity. When in Lucknow, check out Tornos: https://www.tornosindia.com/dhobi-ghat/
Thanks so much for these beautiful pictures, Brenda! There's something incredibly appealing about laundry hanging out to dry. It struck me while visiting Rome as a teenager and continues to allure. xoxox
